Mount Moran, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming
Mount Moran, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

“Oxbow Autumn”
Limited Edition of 195 | Artist Proof 25

This imposing mountain, located at the northern end of the magnificent Teton Range in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park, was named after famed landscape artist Thomas Moran by Ferdinand V. Hayden. Moran was a member of the Hayden Expedition of 1872, which explored and charted Yellowstone and Pierre’s Hole on the western side of the Teton Range. At 12,605 feet in elevation, Mount Moran’s prominent snow-capped peak and all of autumn’s glory and splendor are reflected in the quiet backwaters of the Snake River at Oxbow Bend.
