Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, Death Valley National Park, California

“Dune Daybreak”
Limited Edition of 195 | Artist Proof 25

The warm glow of sunrise illuminates these pristine dunes located near Stovepipe Wells in Death Valley National Park, California. At 3.4 million acres, Death Valley is the largest national park in the lower 48 states. With desolate salt pans, wind sculpted dunes, twisting canyons and rugged mountains, the park is famous for its extremes. Telescope Peak in the Panamint Mountains to the west has an elevation of 11,049 feet, while the Badwater Basin drops 282 feet below sea level – the lowest point in the Western hemisphere.
