Aurora Borealis, Wapusk National Park, Manitoba

“Skydancing”
Limited Edition of 195 | Artist Proof 25

The magnificent display of light caused by the complex interaction of trapped particle streams from solar winds colliding with gases in the Earth’s magnetosphere are called aurorae. Also called the aurora borealis, or northern lights, and the aurora australis, or southern lights, these beautiful displays occur in many forms and colors. Aurorae can be rapidly pulsating, moving or glowing, green, blue, violet, pink or brilliant red as they dance across the arctic night sky.
